Join us for a piano recital with Steinway Prizewinner, Julian Trevelyan. Julian won the Top Prize & the Concerto Prize at the Concours Marguerite Long in Paris, the youngest ever laureate of this competition.

Julian Trevelyan

Julian Trevelyan (born 1998) is an internationally acclaimed concert pianist who performs regularly in many of the major concert halls through Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, the UK & the US. He came to international attention at the age of 16, when he won the Top Prize & the Concerto Prize at the Concours Marguerite Long in Paris, the youngest ever laureate of this competition.

He has also won 2nd, Mozart, and Audience prizes at the 2021 Concours Géza Anda in Zurich. Most recently, in 2023, he won 2nd Prize at the Horowitz Competition Kyiv-Geneva. His other awards include 1st Prize at CFRPM (France), Rickmansworth & Young Musician of the North (UK), Young Accompanist of the Year at Gregynog Young Musician of the Year, Luitpold Prize of the Kissinger Sommer Festival, 2nd & Audience prize at Dudley International Piano Competition (UK), 2nd prize at Kissinger KlavierOlymp (Germany), Concours Dumortier (Belgium) and Concours Ile de France (France) where he was also awarded the Mocsari Prize. Apart from Rena Shereshevskaya, with whom he graduated from the Ecole Normale in Paris and with whom he continues his postgraduate studies, Julian’s teachers include Ferenc Rados, Christopher Elton and Elizabeth Altman.

He has also taken masterclasses from Menahem Pressler, Stephen Kovacevich, Andreas Staier, Alexei Volodin and Jean-Marc Luisada. Julian himself is in demand as a teacher, and has given masterclasses in England, France and Indonesia. His repertoire list includes 55 different concertos, many world premieres, and the complete works of Debussy (chamber, songs and piano solo).
